When people hear that they can make money online doing paid surveys they are (understandably)
skeptical. In fact, most people that have tried to earn some extra money from surveys found that it was either a scam or not worth their time.

Personally, my first experience was downright awful. I was taking at least two or three hours out of each day only to get once check every three months…never amounting more than $60.

Many people start doing online surveys just to give up quickly because they are not getting any work sent to them. The problem is that so many emails are missed so you think that you are not being sent any surveys. To remedy this problem you should create separate email addresses for each survey company you are working for. This way you will not miss a thing that they send to you and have a better chance at making good money. Gmail is the top recommend email account for this type of thing since it is free, hold documents and has a lot of space as compared to other email services.

Step 2

The online survey companies that say they will mail you a check may be a bit sketchy. This is not to say that they will not really send you your money (the one I worked for mailed my checks and I got them promptly), but it is a red flag with all of the scam survey companies out there. In order to ensure that you will get your money in a fast, efficient and trustworthy manner you should set up a PayPal account.

PayPal is one of the most preferred ways to pay and get paid these days since they are a trusted company that provides you with security and safety. Signing up for a PayPal account if totally free and most all of the legit paid survey sites will offer it as a payment option. Even without the survey angle, having a PayPal account is a good idea as you can send and receive money. Many ecommerce sites also accept PayPal which makes doing all types of business online much simpler.

Step 3

If you are going to give paid online surveys a go then you will want to download the RoboForm application. This is a free download that makes signing up for survey sites go much quicker and smoother. Simply download RoboForm, fill out your new profile and click save to save your information. Once you get all of this done you will be able to go to the survey sites, click your mouse just once and watch as your information is filled in automatically. Step 5

Once you sign up for a survey site you will get an email to confirm that you signed up. If this is not the company’s practice than you have another red flag. When you email does come you should answer it right away so the company knows that you are confirming that you signed up to take surveys with them. Once you are a confirmed member of the survey panel you can begin receiving surveys.

Taking surveys online will not make you rich by any means. However, it is a good way to supplement your regular income without having to work too hard or give up too much of your time, so it is a win-win situation for you and the survey panel!
